Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of REA — Real Estate Assistant (“REA”), provided by Joseph Khaouly. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

REA is a tool for tracking real-estate investments and managing properties. It is provided free of charge and “as is”, with no guarantee of availability, and may change or be discontinued at any time.

Not financial advice

REA performs calculations (such as ROI, IRR and cashflow) on the figures you enter. These are informational tools, not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Verify anything you rely on with a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for decisions made using the service.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into these terms.

Your data and other people’s data

You retain ownership of the data you enter. When you record details about tenants or property owners, you confirm you have a lawful basis to do so and will meet your own obligations to those people under applicable data-protection law. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to store.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to other users’ data;
• disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
• upload malware or content that infringes others’ rights.

We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms.

Availability and backups

We aim to keep REA running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Keep your own copies of anything important — the “Export my data” feature exists for this.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, REA and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
